
Award-winning homebuilder, Barratt Redrow, is intending to submit an Outline Planning Application in respect of the development of Land at Sheepwash Farm, Whittington.
The new residential development is proposed at the edge of Whittington and will deliver up to 270 high quality homes in a mix of types of tenures, alongside public open space, playspace, biodiversity and blue and green infrastructure enhancements, active travel routes and associated infrastructure.

Prior to submitting the planning application, Barratt Redrow would like to provide local residents and interested parties with background information about the scheme and further insight into the development proposals.
Consultation is being undertaken via this bespoke consultation website and through a dedicated drop-in exhibition.
Online Consultation: We ask that you submit your feedback to the online consultation via the “Submit Your Comments” page of this website. Please submit your feedback online by 26th April 2026 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit the Outline Planning Application.
Public Exhibition: The public exhibition event will be held at the Pavillion, Bit End Field, Whittington, WS14 9LQ from 4pm until 7pm on Monday 20th April 2026. All are welcome to attend to view further information about the proposals, speak with members of the project team and provide feedback. Following conclusion of the consultation, your comments will be considered and any appropriate revisions to the scheme will be made prior to the submission of the application.
As part of the Outline Planning Application, a report will be submitted to Lichfield District Council summarising the responses received and explaining how the proposals respond to the matters raised.
Once the planning application has been submitted, the Council will carry out a formal consultation with local residents and interested parties where you will have a further opportunity to submit your comments.
